Many feel lost in the sea of exciting music and club life. Most of what we believe is the thing we want to see in another place is never as cool as it seems if you ever get there. You wonder why people like it so, why it has the mystery it has.We will show you that club is in your town, in your home. The bands that move you tears or comfort you in the dark, work right nextdoor.

Many years ago, after coming from a robot repair building hidden beneath Dertoit, I arrived back in Gainesville, FL. Much of the local music culture was a confused culture at best. Many were trying to survive the back lash of the electronic music wave that had hit the late 1990's. Much of what people wanted was live music or typical pop structure music wrapped in new packages.

After sometime, a radio station DJ helped create a wonderful local show called The Sunday Night Resurrection [http://www.myspace.com/resurrectionradio]. vainangel took his friend Prof. Drew along with an invite to guest on the show, the rest is history left for others to tell.

The effect? A number of club nights devoted to gothic culture. The radio show has guested more diverse DJ's than any one show in the local, if not statewide scene. It has come to refelect more of what the culture is about.

So here we are, [gothic in gainesville podcast]. Along with 3 other local gothic podcasts from Gainesville, FL. A new beacon of shadows to look to for the future of our culture.
